General Information
Kattenhotel de Sprong is a small-scale hotel exclusively for cats. In our spacious, bright, and tastefully decorated cat suites, your cat can relax and unwind comfortably. Due to our small-scale nature, all cats receive plenty of attention. We highly prioritize the health, hygiene, and individual care of each cat. The hotel features 3 luxury suites suitable for 1 cat or 2 cats from the same family. Each room does not need to be shared with other unfamiliar cats.
Hotel Procedure
Health Monitoring During the Stay
Upon arrival, the cat is weighed. I’s important that a cat eats something within 24 hours after arrival. Delicious Royal Canin kibbles are always available upon arrival to encourage the cat to start eating as soon as possible. Therefore, if there are any doubts, we can always anticipate any differences in weight. Administering medication is not a problem. If necessary, we won’t hesitate to consult a veterinarian during the stay.
Plenty of Attention with Cuddles and Playtime
Every cat staying at the hotel receives the attention they desire. Regular cuddle sessions or playtime moments are incorporated. Everything is possible, and the cat gets to decide. During play, we try to mimic the hunting process and encourage the cat to catch the “prey”. This activates the reward system, preventing the cats from getting bored or frustrated.
Comfortable Temperature
The cozy atmosphere is maintained by our heating and cooling system. Cats can expect a pleasantly comfortable temperature in every season. We’ll keep you updated regularly on your cat’s well-being by sending messages or photos via WhatsApp.
Availability of Suites Rooms
Each cat has its own room
Cats cherish their own space, which is why each cat stays in its own room. They do not come into contact with each other, their food bowls, or litter boxes.
Cats from the same family can stay in 1 room together. Alternatively, they can stay in 2 rooms with a cat flap between them. The condition is that the cats from the same family get along well. Feel free to bring a blanket or bed from your cat. This increases the likelihood that your cat will feel more at home more quickly.

Conditions
It’s important that the cats arrive and depart in good health. This is not only important for you and your cat but also to prevent the risk of infection for the other cats we care for. Therefore, it’s essential that all cats staying at the hotel have valid vaccinations, are dewormed, and treated for fleas. The complete vaccination history of the cat is taken into account to assess whether your cat is vaccinated according to the hotel’s conditions.
Vaccinations against Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis and Feline Panleukopenia are mandatory.
The Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis vaccination should be administered annually, and the
Feline Panleukopenia vaccine should be given every 2-3 years. If your cat has not been vaccinated for a number of years, a booster vaccination is necessary.
-Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis: administered at least 3 weeks before the stay and not older than 11 months on the day the cat returns home.
-Feline Panleukopenia: administered at least 3 weeks before the stay and not older than 2-3 year.
For each reservation, we require a copy of the vaccination record for each cat to determine if the vaccinations are sufficient for their stay in the hotel. If you have any questions or concerns about the vaccination status, please contact us.
Administering medication is not a problem. We appreciate receiving all relevant information in advance.
Further conditions::
– Tomcats older than 5 months must be neutered to stay at the hotel.
– The cat must be dewormed and treated for fleas. If we discover any parasites, we will treat the cat, and these costs will be passed on to you.
– If your cat exhibits (chronic) cold symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, or eye discharge, please inform us. We will further assess whether the cat can stay at the hotel.
– We appreciate being informed in advance of any necessarymedication and other important matters we need to consider.
– Persian cats, Exotic Shorthairs (Exotic), Highland/Scottish Fold breeds cannot be accommodated in the hotel. These breeds often have anatomical abnormalities, see Brachycephaly. This often results in eye and nasal discharge, increasing the risk of infections and contagion to other cats in the hotel.
Reservation conditions:
-The minimum length of stay during school holidays is 8 days..
-Outside of school holidays, the minimum stay is 4 days.
-The maximum stay is 4 weeks, longer stays are possible after consultation.

Cancellation service
It can always happen that your holiday doesn’t go ahead. Even though canceling is virtually cost-free up to two months before departure, this period is not feasible for all cancellations.
As much as we would like to be more lenient with this cancellation policy, it simply isn’t possible. Kattenhotel de Sprong is a small hotel and also provides a cat caretake service. We have often turned down others for reserved spots and cannot fill those spots at short notice.
To resolve this issue for both parties, alongside the fixed cancellation policy, we offer an additional cancellation service.
With a cancellation service, you can cancel at any time, regardless of the reason. For instance, due to illness or the passing of your cat (or even yourself or a family
member), a negative travel advisory, or even if your cat goes missing right before your vacation.
For the cancellation service, we charge 10% of the total cost.
When you cancel your holiday, you will receive a refund for the canceled days, minus €25.00 administrative fees, credited back to your account. It goes without saying that the costs of the cancellation service are non-refundable.
You can indicate whether you want to add the cancellation service on the reservation form. The costs for this service will be separately listed on the invoice in the confirmation email.
You can cancel by calling, emailing, or sending a WhatsApp message to Kattenhotel de Sprong.
The cancellation service can be added within 7 days after the reservation is made. Reservations made within two months before the start of the cat care period (hotel or home cat care) are also eligible for the cancellation service. However, in this case, you will immediately enroll in the cancellation service upon making the reservation. Changing the reservation to a completely different period is considered a cancellation.
Once the pet sitting period has commenced, it cannot be canceled.
The cancellation service is not mandatory. If the service is not utilized, the cancellation policy stated in the Terms and Conditions of Kattenhotel de Sprong applies without exception.
Logeren & Herstellen
In een volledige nieuwbouw accommodatie in Nederweert (Midden-Limburg, nabij Weert) hebben we, samen met de architect, in het kattenhotel gestreefd naar maximaal comfort voor onze gasten. Uw kat verblijft in Kattenhotel de Sprong in een sfeervolle ambiance in een eigen luxe suite, waar een dekbedje met een gestreken overtrek voor hem of haar klaarligt. Natuurlijk is er voor de gasten van Kattenhotel de Sprong ook een boeiende speelkamer, waar ze alleen (of met hun huisgenootjes) zullen vertoeven.
